Marriage Records

The Department has a number of marriage records dating to pre-statehood (November, 1907) and early marriage records for Ottawa County, 1907-1926.  These records include the exact location in the marriage books for each license.  1907-1926 records abstracted by S. J. Mahurin.

Cemetery Records:  The Department houses cemetery records of Ottawa County cemeteries as well as a number of records of nearby cemeteries.   Please contact us if you would like to know whether we have records for a particular cemetery that you know to be near Ottawa County.

Federal Census:  A complete set of Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory and the complete Oklahoma Federal Census on microfilm.   We have a few census of other states.  We do not have any Soundex available.

Civil & Revolutionary War Collections:  Army Records, Index to Revolutionary War Service Records, 4 Vols., transcribed by Virgil D. White.

Oklahoma Genealogical Resources:  General Ottawa County resources also exist, including Ottawa County historical and genealogical books and city directories.  Among these include:  History of Ottawa County by Velma Neiberding, First Presbyterian Church, Miami 1899-1998, and Goodspeed's histories and directories from 1917-1998.
