Research by Correspondence Policy
For people
living outside of the library's service area, mailed or emailed genealogy
requests are welcome. When requesting research, follow the
guidelines listed below to expedite your request:

Be as specific as possible in your requests,
such as any known names, dates, places, etc. The more
information you can provide will better enable us to find the requested
information. Because many of our records are not indexed, general
searches are much harder to fulfill. Barbara Becker, our Genealogy
Librarian, is in charge of all genealogy requests.

Please
be aware there is a small charge for all research requests. The fee
for each request is $10.00 for research time, and .25 for each copy made.

Research must be done in-between daily duties and
assisting in-house patrons. Depending upon the number of requests
received during any given week there may be a slight wait in your reply
time. Thank you in advance for your patience. Your request
will be answered as quickly as possible.
