Celebrating Our Journey

Literacy students and tutors celebrated the efforts made toward improving literacy at a library event held Sept. 13th.

Maria Andreas read her story which was included in the Oklahoma Department of Libraries' publication "Celebrating Our Journey" a project that is made possible by ODL and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Maria's tutor, Virginia Rush, introduced her to the audience.

 

Our Literacy Program

Adults 18 years and older can learn to read or improve their reading by participating in our free literacy program.

Pre-assessment to determine appropriate placement

Make progress with a minimum commitment of 1 hour per week

Post-assessment following completion of 80 hours
